Dr. Amish Dalal is Cancer Surgeon with a M.S. in general surgery from Bombay University and a FRCS from Glasgow and an FICS from the International College of Surgeons.

He has trained extensively in Surgical Oncology at the Tata Cancer Hospital under the guidance of various specialists and in every anatomical area of the body from 1986 to December 1993. He did clinical research and formed a large database while a research fellow, which resulted in over twenty national and international publications.

He went to the UK and was employed for two years by the University of Liverpool as a Tutor in Surgery and with the Royal Liverpool University Hospital as a Senior Registrar. His unit specialised in breast diseases/cancers and additionally he had a special interest in management of malignant melanomas viz. a viz-isolated limb perfusions.

Since 2017 Dr. Dalal has added Robotic surgery for various cancers in his armamentarium for minimally invasive approach to surgery. A fellowship with Dr. Brendan Moran in UK refined and added HIPEC for peritoneal malignancies to the scope of treatments offered by him.

He has been teaching medical students/postgraduates when he was a postgraduate student, then as a senior registrar at Tata Cancer Hospital and finally as a Tutor in Surgery at the University of Liverpool, UK.

He is practising as a Surgical & Gynecologic Oncologist in Mumbai at the Breach Candy Hospital, Jaslok Hospital, Bhatia Hospital, Saifee, Reliance Foundation Hospital and Parsee General Hospital His special interests are in breast, gynaecologic, and colorectal cancers. Where applicable he performs laparoscopic or robotic surgeries for some of these cancers.

He was awarded the UICC (International Union against Cancer - based in Geneva) ICRETT Fellowship in March 1994.

In 2001 he was again awarded the UICC ICRETT fellowship and the Travelling Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, which made it possible for him to take a 4 month sabbatical to learn laparoscopic surgery for certain cancers, namely cervix, uterine, kidney, colorectal etc. These fellowships were done in Jena Germany and in Mount Sinai hospital in New York USA.
