I was awarded the International Society of Nephrology scholarship for 2003. This scholarship is given among hundreds of applicants from all over the world to young nephrologists. I was chosen for peritoneal and hemodialysis at the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri USA. I trained in CAPD and Home dialysis.

This center has some of the most respected Nephrologist and researchers in CAPD.

I trained in CAPD and home hemodialysis.

Clinical fellowship at University of Toronto

I did a 2 year clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto. This 2 year fellowship includes three month training in hemodialysis and home hemodialysis, 12 months training in renal- live and deceased donor transplant, 3 months in peritoneal dialysis, six months in renal intensive care and nephrology clinic and consults.

I have trained with world renowned nephrologists in various sub-specialities of nephrology.

During this time, I have published 7 papers in international papers and 3 papers presented at International conferences.

  • Member: Coordinating Committee of Project on Emergency Obstetric Care (EMC) of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India in collaboration with John Hopkins, USA (JHPIEGO).
  • Member: Technical Committee, National Consultation on RCH-II Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health(ARSH): -
  • Lead for FOGSI:for theDevelopment of Standards and Operational Guidelines” the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare(MOHFW) in collaboration with WHO and UNFPA.
  • National Convenor: “Accreditation Committee” to develop Accreditation criteria for Maternity Homes/Nursing Homes of FOGSIincollaboration with the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization(WHO).
  • Member: Ethics committee of Majlis (NGO) for Research onRape Victim Support Programme.
  • Member: Technical Advisory Committee of the Ferrous Sucrose in Pregnant Anaemic Women in India (FeSPAW) Project, by the Public Health Foundation of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Government of India.
