Dr. Rajesh Rajani done a three year post graduate course in Grant Medical College and J.J. Hospital, Bombay. With a bed strength of 2300, it is one of the largest teaching hospitals in India. In these three years of his post graduate in General Medicine, Dr. Rajesh Rajani worked in the Department of Cardiology, Neurology and worked as a senior Registrar for two years in the Medical wards. As well as management of general medical cases, Dr. Rajesh Rajani has done emergency duties in the Intensive Care Cardiac Unit during his tenure in J.J. Hospital, Bombay.

Burgis N. Khurshedji Award, 2nd Prize for best paper presentation at 3rd Annual meeting of the Indian Society of Nephrology at Bombay in December - 1989. Non - invasive assessment of LV function in live related renal transplantation.

3rd Prize for best presentation at the 3rd Annual meeting of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation at Bombay in December - 1990. Non - invasive assessment of Left Ventricular function before and after renal transplantation.
